Posted on: December 22nd, 2011 by Beverley

Web Design experts declare that the innovation and creative flair of the website owner should be reflected through the web design. However, this doesn’t mean that the web design has to be complex; but by using the simple aspects supplied by the client a professional web design can transform and integrate these aspects to create a web design that is visually appealing to its visitors.

To achieve success through the web design warrants the clients business and its goals to be completely and clearly understood. Only then can the professional web designer assess the web design objectives and implement them so that the business can expand and grow.

To create a professional web design technical skills need to be applied as part of the process of the web application design. These technical skills are not applied when using the vast variations of software available for the public.

Understanding the needs and requirements of the targeted customers is a crucially important element which serves to guide the whole process of the web design. These  techniques applied by a professional web designer serves to enhance the business and expand the customer base.

Working through the many processes of the web design incorporates many skills and one of the many skills that are necessary is the use of accurate and clean coding.  Compliant coding is vital to how the whole website performs, ranks and in the search engines listing.

Looking for a Professional Web Designer?

Posted on: September 30th, 2011 by Beverley

When you approach a web designer you have in your mind the same as that web designer. You want your website to be stunning, easily accessible and functional. In plain English you want your website to work for you and make you prosperous and that is exactly what your web designer will and can do.

There are some very good web designers in the business today and because of the fierce competition online they know they have to create a professional website for your business. A good web designer knows that good graphics, navigation, content text and a comprehensible site layout is the foundation for a quality website.

A professional web designer also knows how important it is to target your potential customers so they will have this in mind throughout the whole creation. It is vital that your customers enjoy the experience when they visit your site and this is one of the most important factors to keep in mind as the web designer builds your website. To make them want to come back again and again, and confident enough to refer the experience to their friends and colleagues.

When you choose the company to build your website it may be worth saying the points mentioned in this article. You will be able to gauge whether they really understand what you’re talking about and if they don’t they are not the company that is going to create the website that will work for you.

There is such a company that is thriving today called CWD. This company has built its reputation on building stunning websites for its customers for many years.

Launching a website and it’s not finished

Posted on: July 15th, 2011 by Beverley

A bad mistake in web design today is when a company launches a website and it is not finished. I know the Harry Potter website sort of did something like that but that was to add to the excitement of the fans wondering what was the website going to be.

It doesn’t have quite the same effect when you log on to a website looking for specific information or products. After navigating through several pages to come to a blank page with maybe the words ‘under construction’ or ‘coming soon’ is so frustrating.

A good web design company would not want to do this and would persuade their clients to wait until the web design was complete before launching. The aim of your website is to attract customers and keep them blank pages will not encourage this.

Once your web design is complete and ready for launch you can breathe a sigh of relief, but only a little one. The work has to continue on your website helping it to grow. If it stayed the same you would not increase traffic or keep any regular users.

Good quality web design will include clear and easy directions on how to communicate with you. From this communication you will get a lot of ideas on updating your website. Listen to what your customers want and what they expect then you will know how to update your site and keep it interesting for them.

This is the reason why it is so important to include clear and precise details of how your customers can communicate with you.

Introducing something new to your Web Design

Posted on: July 13th, 2011 by admin

When your website is growing at a steady pace it may be time to introduce something new. A steady pace is good but stray from that pace and your sales can only go two ways, up or down.

You definitely won’t want them to go down so fresh ideas are needed. As I have said before in previous articles and I will stress again ‘the importance of constantly updating your website’.

Lots of web design companies are now adding more video content or if you haven’t used it before, now is the time. Web design trends change all the time and the use of video on your website is one the trends of today. Your customers will enjoy the video as it will be something new and different. Regular customers will appreciate it and it works towards keeping them coming back to experience new material on the website.

You can keep the web design of your site without altering your style when you enter the video podcast market. It is important that any video presentation follows the style of your web design as this text content is what has given you success up till now.

It’s ok to want to attract new customers but never take for granted your regular ones as in any business your regulars form the foundation that your company is built on. They are the users that are most likely to recommend your company to their friends and colleagues. Customers that regularly use your site wouldn’t be regulars if they weren’t satisfied customers and as the old saying goes ‘the best form of advertising is through word and mouth’

Planning to construct a Website for your Company

Posted on: July 12th, 2011 by admin

When planning to construct a website for your company you will need to choose a company name. You will need to have decided on your company name before your home page can be created in your web design.

The name you choose is an important part of the web design and it should have an emotional charge to it and also match the subject content of your website.

Try to choose a name that has one word or two at the most and make sure they are easy to pronounce. The company name can be a made up name but test it among your friends and colleagues by asking them to pronounce and spell it.

The company name will be used throughout the web design so it must easy to spell and comfortable to say.

The good single and two word website names have mostly been used now such as: mortgages.com or florist.com so try to choose the right name that is almost as memorable.

If the name is easy to spell and pronounce the more it will be remembered and that means it has more chance of being used by the public.

Sometimes it may be that you are really stuck and just can’t think of a name or have but just can’t make that final decision to use it. There are websites that can help you choose a company name so that you can proceed with the web design.

If you google ‘domain search’ you can type in the keywords or enter the name you are undecided on and help is at hand.

Choosing the right Web Design Company

Posted on: July 11th, 2011 by admin

It is not an easy choice when choosing a Web Design Company for your first website. You may be totally clued up regarding your company and its products but putting it online presents a completely different kettle of fish.

After researching into various Web Design Companies I’m sure you will choose the right one BUT just in case here are a few points you can casually bring into the conversation when discussing your Web Design.

Firstly the introduction of your company and what it does or may the services you offer and this information has to be on the home page. When a users click on to your website they are looking for something specific so they need to find it on the first page.

Keep the home page information short and direct telling them who you are, what you do and what you can offer your customers. If you don’t you stand the chance of loosing them.

Loud sounds and animated icons were impressive and very popular years ago and Website Design Companies still use them because the clients want it. However, most internet users that log on to a website searching or researching something specific do not want to be made dizzy or have double vision with all the flashing text and moving icons.

Floating items flying around the screen can be very distracting when you are trying to concentrate on the information you were searching for. Scrolling text is also not ideal as your user could miss some of the information that is important.

Creating the right Web Design

Posted on: July 7th, 2011 by admin

When creating your web design always remember when a user visits your website they must be able to easily find the information they are looking for. If you can accomplish this then chances are they will choose to access your site again.

List all the categories clearly and double check that any links aren’t broken. Highlighting them is a good way to mark them so that your users can easily identify them.

When your initial web design is completed for a page it is wise to check the loading time because users will be put off if it takes to long. Then as your website develops and you add further information and images check that the updating hasn’t slowed the website down. Fast loading pages are an essential element in your web design.

You may have regular users but if the loading starts to get bogged down with to many bulky images you may find that they will get frustrated and move on to another similar website.

If you do need to use bulky images provide a thumbnail and a link to an offsite host as this will prevent your page loading time from slowing down.

In your web design it is all to tempting to use flash for your images. They certainly are eye catching and they do enhance your site visually. However, your aim is to get as many hits as possible and this will only slow the web traffic down.

Always put yourself in your users shoes and try to give them what you would want and one of the most important elements is a fast loading site. A good web design is very important but so is maintaining the website.

Regular checks and updates are vital to keep your customers happy and satisfied.

Web Design that attracts your target audience

Posted on: July 7th, 2011 by admin

When constructing your website take the time to discuss with the Web Design company how you want your website to function. Think about how you want your Web Design to look and how you are going to attract the users you want to target.

How is the Web Design going to not only attract your target users but to make them want to come back again and again.

You have to constantly produce new ideas and concepts for your Web Design to keep your users coming back for more. The aim is for them is to enjoy the experience of using your website.

Many businesses online have not taken this into account resulting in a non- profitable website. Make sure you discuss this fully start with the Web Design company this right from your first meeting with them.

It won’t be a satisfying experience if they can’t navigate around your website to find the information they are looking for. They may know the products are there but if they can’t access them easily they will go elsewhere.

There are too many online companies that probably have the same products or services that you are offering so its vital to your success that your Web Design is user friendly. If they click away from your site just once odds are they will never return and you would have lost a potential customer.

Providing clear categories and links to your other pages in the website is a simple but effective way to construct your website.

Many companies do not concentrate enough on these simple but very necessary elements in the Web Design.

Good Web Design to stand out from the crowd

Posted on: July 7th, 2011 by admin

In today’s fast moving, competitive world a website is a necessity for any successful business or venture. Not just any website but a good quality website with excellent web design that has a clear and substantive presence on the internet.

There are so many websites to access that unless yours has a really good web design to make it stand out it will get lost amongst the millions of other websites.

Good web design will attract users to your site, but you need more in the ever evolving world of the internet. To be really noticed on the World Wide Web your company needs to have a comprehensive presence incorporated in the Web Design. Social media integration with clear, accessible online elements are essential for a successful website, anything less and you could be lost in  the millions of online businesses.

To ensure your web design incorporates full integration with social media elements there are a few things necessary when creating your website.

Taking the time to plan exactly how you are going to construct your website and think about what you actually want from it. Imagine you are a user and and what you would expect from the website apart, from the actual product or services your company is offering.

Time is a luxury that many of us do not have in abundance so a slow loading website is definitely not acceptable.

If  users cannot navigate easily around your site its another reason for them to click off. The digital age that we live in now and most of use every day in one form or another makes us impatient when using the internet.

How often do you hear somebody groaning about the time a site is taking to load or navigate?

Accessibility is now a major concern in Web Design

Posted on: July 7th, 2011 by admin

Accessibility is now a major concern in Web Design. As more people have access to the internet, more people from all walks of life with many different disabilities and impairments want to be able to ‘surf the net’. This is the wonderful world of the internet and everybody wants to access it.

There are many users with disabilities that can access websites as long as the Web Design has incorporated certain features for disabled users.

There are rules and regulations on the World Wide Web that Web Design Companies have to adhere to and although the disability rules are not ‘set in stone’ any good Web Design would have accessibility for any impairments or disabilities.

It is easy for a Web Design company to create a website that is user friendly for disabilities and you don’t want to miss out on so many users for not having it.

When you are just at the start of creating your website it is not an easy task to decide the best way to go about it. I think everybody, no matter how inexperienced you are; does understand the necessity of good Web Design.

If you really question yourself about Web Design for your website and you are not completely confident you can do it – DON’T.

Do lots of research and look for a Web Design Company that can do it for you and yes it will cost more but it will be worth it.

To start your research just google the words WEB DESIGN and the companies that come up on the first page is an excellent way to start searching for that Web Design Company that can create the perfect website for you.
